Ten years ago, we launched Oddup with a simple but powerful idea: give investors a clear buy, hold, or sell rating on startups. At a time when early-stage investing felt more like guesswork than analysis, we wanted to bring structure, transparency, and data-driven insight to a space that desperately needed it.
But here’s something most people don’t know—our original vision was even bolder than that.
We didn’t just want to rate startups. We wanted to let people bet on their success.
That’s why we’re called Oddup. The name was never just a quirky brand choice; it was a statement of intent. We believed that if you could quantify the odds of a company succeeding, you should be able to act on those odds directly.
Back then, the regulatory environment wasn’t ready for an idea like that. So we focused on what was possible: building the most comprehensive risk-intelligence platform we could.

Over the past ten years, Oddup has evolved far beyond startup ratings. As markets shifted, so did we. We expanded into cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, and other asset classes, capturing vast amounts of data along the way.
Our mission never changed—to help investors understand the risks in the markets they operate in—but our toolkit and coverage grew dramatically.
That journey wasn’t accidental. Every dataset we captured, every model we refined, and every market we entered was part of a longer game. We were laying the groundwork for what we had always set out to build.

Today, the regulatory landscape has caught up with our original ambition. New frameworks and evolving market structures have created an environment where prediction-based products can operate with the compliance, transparency, and legitimacy investors expect—and deserve.
So, we’re doing what we set out to do from day one.
Oddup is adding predictions to its platform.
This isn’t a pivot. It’s a homecoming.
Everything we’ve built over the last decade—the data infrastructure, the risk models, the cross-asset coverage—was designed for this moment. Our ratings have always been rooted in probabilistic thinking. Now, we’re making that explicit and giving our users the tools to act on it.
For our community of investors, this evolution means moving from insight to action. You’ve trusted our ratings to help you assess risk. Now, you’ll be able to engage with markets in a way that reflects the conviction behind those assessments.
You don’t need to be a professional investor to have a view on where markets are headed.
Maybe you’ve been following a startup you believe in. Maybe you’re tracking the rise of a particular cryptocurrency. Maybe you’re watching how global events ripple through currency markets. Until now, having an informed opinion and being able to act on it were two very different things.
Oddup’s predictions feature changes that.
We’re building an experience for everyday observers—people who are curious, engaged, and paying attention to the world around them. You don’t need a brokerage account or a finance degree. If you have a perspective on what’s coming next, Oddup gives you a way to put that perspective to the test.
Think of it as turning market intuition into something tangible.
Our platform provides the data and context to support informed decisions, whether you’re a seasoned analyst or someone who simply reads the news and connects the dots. We believe great insights can come from anywhere—and predictions shouldn’t be reserved for Wall Street.
We’ll be sharing more details on how predictions will work within the platform in the coming weeks. But we wanted you to hear it from us first:
The future we named ourselves after is finally here.
Welcome to the next chapter of Oddup.
